"Superb mini-album (8 tracks) that is already creating a shop buzz....It's tremendous in it's scope, taking in atmospheric epic-ness and true new-wave grooves whilst creating a shuffle of great songs. With a nod towards Sonic Youth and even Sloan this more than hints at a VERY bright future...MORE PLEASE!!!"
Jumbo Records, July 2013.

"It's possible to get completely lost in something this majestic... they almost sound like some great lost Japanese psych band. Or at least a band that has spent a lot of high times listening to Boris. A Fire in the Trees might slip under many peoples radars but I'd urge you to give it a listen."
Andy Brown, Soundblab

"The new 5 star album by the Ian Mitchell big boogie bugle band has been gaining momentum in the future due to Mitchell's insistence on only playing gigs reached through time travel. The most famous rendition of dog in the treees being played at Leeds Tesco megabowl music hall combining hot dogs, bowling and a music venue.
Mitchell having had a chip implanted into his brain performs the soul breaking first song on the album, "my love is like a ten pound note" using the instrument he created there and then. The Harpsiflute wangs out a 3 chord trill beat sequestered with downbeat dog beat 4/4 extra cheese with that.
What Mitchell hasn't created here is an album about his time spent in jail. Confusing the slang term dough he robbed a Peter the Bakers in Huddersfield only to be caught by Superintendent Harry Styles of Ones Direction.
Teak two starts with a dirge. Mitchell whinnies like a pooh on crackroids. HIs drug Adel brainhead totally distant as he injects an oboe in to his veins.
The ringing, a song devoted to his love of Tinnitus is a 14 minute high pitched squealing noise. A beautiful comment on the Israel SLASH Palestine conflict and dyslexia. Palestinian dyslexic is a sweet yet moribund kummerbund of a husband gargle fat. The wonking and backing vocals by the 3 Pats (butcher, sharp and cash) adds a hoolemical interant into the already pulsating drone of the glockenspeil.
Mitchell has been criticised heavily by his fans for selling out. His shameless flouting of trade laws during gigs in his attempts to sell T-shirts with a picture of his face on to the front row puts him in the sick bracket of "just another".
Saturday's kitchen is an upbeat, high tempo attempt at cashing in on the Japanese craze for foot dancing. A new shoe dance originated by JPOP legend Itzikati Ikawaka.
Toilet Duck heads into new territory with 4 drums. Mitchell plays one using a melon on a stick causing a ripple effect.
Your House or my prefabricated shed is a tender love song played using a 10oz steak as a pick. You can hear the dripping animal fat as it dribbles over the strings.
Pat Boucher Couture is a fizzling blast into psycho orbit. First played live at his gig in a Parisian superloo it resonates to the sound of the 10p monkey attendant solely there to hand out loo roll for the asses of others.
Nightbussss is a happy song about lovely happy angels and fluffy bunny sugar things. It's dark side is its references to the Saville scandal and the variable number of Wheetabix in a packet.
